One of the most dedicated, inspired and knowledgeable blogs out there.
Nothing but respect to you Greg. Big up your bad self and your 1st year smile.gif
My only problem is that there isn't enough hours in the day to spend my days checking and listening to your fantastic selections but when I do my gawd they are immense.
Cheers
All the best

Mike

PART ii: Rhythm is Rythim

If you ever seek out the originals of these tunes, you will see how complex this arrangement is. I dont give a fuck what anyone says, these mixes on this site and especially this one are deep rooted in the ethics of Hip Hop... This mix creates totally new tunes from old ones...

The first 20 odd mins of this mix are sliced, diced and chopped from two The Pyramids lps Lalibela and Birth, Speed and Merging. King of kings will come later...
Baraka - Albert "Toudie" Heath
Ed Vesala - The Wind
Jef Gilson - Malagasy
JayJay Clayton - Fragments
Sam Rivers - Turquoise
Oracy - The Weight Don't Make Things No Lighter
Warren Smith / Composers Workshop Ensemble - Ann Of Nzinga
Richard Abrams - Levels & Degrees of Light
Sun Ra - Mayan Temples
Amiri Baraka - I Love Music
Don Rendell - A Matter of Time
Warren Smith / Composers Workshop Ensemble - Cricket Song Poem
Infinite Sound - Spanish Tale
Babatunde Olatunji - Uhura
Infinite Sound - The Ocean Moves Primitively
