I was really looking forward to a preview of their Zephyr EP after hearing Ascension 2 weeks ago... was thrilled when I saw the tracklist had a Zephyr special! It's quality music... love it.
I also like that tune by Bachelors of Science.. matchpoint. great downtempo d&b style... I went to their myspace but the matchpoint on there sounded... quite different. Seems that the track they played was the Lynx remix of "Song of lovers"... Matchpoint happens to be the B-side.
ps. "when gilles peterson is away basement jaxx will play" lol.

Fuck me, I thought the St. Etienne was going to be my tune of the show, then Steel Grey started. At work with my headphones on I just stood up out of my chair and punched the air! Getting funny looks.
i was obsessed by "In The Thick Of It" as a kid. brings tears to my eyes
haha yes bro - it reminds me of teenage crushes.

Worldwide Review - Final
I really like that St Germain remix of “Rose Rouge”. Its got that sort of bounce that I like.
On a Jazz tip, Buddy Rich’s “Nutville” as played on the show will not sound out of place at Dingwalls in a few weeks time; and the same goes for Janet Lawson’s “So High” – Classic! And how stunning is/was Wynton Marsalis’ “Recessional”?!? I need it.
Bachelors of Science’s “Match Point” is just the sort of drum and bass that I like to hear at this time of the year.
On a Boogie tip, i really really loved the very Patrick Adamsesque: American Standard “Mr Chinn Gets It Together” – BIG TUNE.
MAW’s dub of St Etienne’s “Only Love Can Break Your Heart” as already mentioned is a stone cold classic. It always takes me back to the heady days of the early 90s when I was still young, free and not always single LOL. PROPER HOUSE!
*And I really enjoyed BJ’s Zephyr EP Exclusive. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy: my kind of lovely quirky music. “Peace Of Mind” – which for some reason reminded me of Jon Brion’s “Here We Go” – is the the sort of vibe I like to hear at this time of the year. Big music. And it was nice of them to rinse Floating Points' remix of “Feelings Gone”. Shout to Sam.
My tune of the show: Brenda Russell "A Little Bit Of Love Can Go A Long Way [Start Today]" - Big music. Big lyrics. -- A very 'Worldwide' show. Really enjoyed it. Big up the Basement Jaxx.
