absolute toss. they're basically trying to "unmask" him before the mercury music prize.

Zizou27- 08-05-2008

to think they get paid for that.

lets hope burials got himself a safehouse.

"Conspiracy theories are rife as to who is behind the tunes, with producers NORMAN COOK and APHEX TWIN in the frame"

Agree it is just nonsense 'journalism'.

From The Wire

lazy, uninspired, wholly ridiculous and unnecessary from a paper who have done f all on burial until his Mercury nomination. I can't even understand the motivation, what a foolish person.

So effectively, the Sun journo is getting everyone else to do the running around for him?

Blimey, he's an intelligent one, isn't he?

I hope the journo fails miserably. In the world we live in, we know (or get to know) so much about everything else, whether it's relevant or not.

And it's refreshing to know that someone can get on with producing something in anonymity, if that's what he/she chooses.

i think its funny.
dont front! if you dont know who he is, you want to!
its the whole point of the mystique.

errr yes. but i admire the guys courage to try to remain incognito.. also given what too much exposure does to so called "underground" producers.. invariably they turn into arrogant pricks and their music suffers as a result. he's a refreshing artist, and certainly no "banksy" worth "unmasking". the point is to just let the music do the talking isn't it.

nike_mate- 08-05-2008
dont pretend.

Unknown- 08-05-2008
yes. i want to know. it's the x files. "the truth is out there".

Bergs- 08-05-2008
i think it's banksy.

haha What did Skream do?

As for the Sun article, I really doubt whether Burial is too bothered by this. I don't think it is courage to remain anonymous, more like a cleaver marketing scheme a la Banksy. Here's an 'underground' artist getting free pr from one of the most widely read papers in the country. Do you really think he is that upset. Good luck to him and hopefully he will sell a few more units and be able to carry on making music.

I heard it was Dj Sven and MC Mikey G in an underground comeback shocka!!!
