from my friendly local Sainsbury's today but they were having none of it. The rottweiller on the till said that they have a new policy whereby anyone who looks under the age of 25 can be refused unless they can provide ID to prove their age.

OK, its quite flattering for someone to take ten plus years off you judged on looks alone, but really I figure even on a good day I'm looking old enough to drink

WOW!
listened thru twice last night on headphones.. very tight hardcore punk vibes.. beautiful squalling sax. production is amazing.

2. the horrors - shabazz 10"
creepy

3. floating points - k&g beat
WOW2!
cant get over the beauty of this track. amazing arrangement and composition.
incredible to hear a classically trained jazz musician not showing off his virtuosity. amongst other things.
floating points is pretty much peerless IMO

Bobby Hutcherson/Harold Land - San Francisco
Much recommended on here, beautiful LP

Busta Rhymes - When Disaster Strikes
All about the Dilla joints. Nice Erykah collab too

Marvin Gaye/Tammi Terrell - United and All I Need
Joyous stuff!

Legends Of Benin
Latest in the Analog Africa series, bit more variety on this one. Quality level is still really high

GP Brazilika comp
Very decent, just can't get over the Joyce track. Have been Youtubing her and love everything i've heard so far, particularly Feminina and Aldeia De Ogum (deffo heard that sample somewhere else)

Heavy selection this week. Aswell as that Arthur Verocai re-issue, the new Rainer Truby record and the new Moton 12", these have also dropped into the Noodle HQ. Proper proper proper.

The new Sofrito Specials Volume 2 EP is ridiculous

series of limited, library style records from those nice boys at FindersKeepers.

find out more here...

1st two (Tafo Brothers, Bruno Spoerri) arrived this morning, and they're sounding suitably odd, funky and beyond. strong buy recommendation.

That Rainer Trueby 12 is absolutely the shit. I'm a sucker for anything that samples Brooklyn though.

Erdinger is also absolutely the shit. Hot summer days never tasted so good.

Other recent purchases that are the jobbie are:

Frameworks - Organik

Efdemin - Acid Bells

Mister X - Unbalanced EP (First track is amazing, the rest are a bit meh)

Moody Mann - Anotha Black Sunday (don't think there's a bad track on there)

And a coupla oldies................

Zero B - Module EP (sold this along with my whole collection - of about 100 records! - to fund my first Southport back in 1992. Needed it back in my life.)

Eddie Meeks & Thareeko - Larger Than Life EP (both records I've got by Eddie Meeks are belters. Recommended.)
