After a quiet couple of months I've bought a fair bit of late including:

1) Takeo Moriyama Quintet: Hush a bye: Union LP (1978) .. with Fumio Itabashi on keys

user posted image

2 + 3) Inspired by all the recent talk of jazz dance, I picked up these two fusion classics.

Barry Miles & Silverlight: S/T: London LP (1974)

Eric Kloss: Celebration: Muse LP (1980) Miles and Silverlight are on this one too

4) Kenny Loggins: Vox Humana: CBS LP (1985) - I'm not too sure whether I should own up to this one, but here goes... I remember "Love Will Follow" off this LP from when I was a youth, but only because Robbie Vincent used to play George Howard's sax version. OK a bit cheesy now maybe but if you like your Bobby Caldwell, Michael McDonald or Gino Vannelli then you could do worse.

5) Suite for Ma Dukes: Conducted by Miguel Attwood-Ferguson: Mochilla EP (2009). Needs no introduction.

I'm looking forward to some real prized bundles from the States and Japan in the next couple of weeks and will post more when they're here.

Just bought this Human Egg s/t LP and that's me done for this week - have a Fela Kuti Shakara 7" to come and a Manfredo Fest 7" too.

Also bought some rooting powder:

And some seeds from the US...

Nice work picking the 'Human Egg' LP mate! There's a killer track on there that I was considering putting on a 'I Can't Believe It's Not Herbie' mix - Andre Ceccarelli is the Don, I love his drumming. There's no easy way of saying this but I haven't bought any records this week.
I went digging in London during my half term (Soul Brother, Notting Hill Gate Music & Video Exchange) and all I bought was:
Klymaxx - Girls Will Be Girls (great boogie)
Teena Marie - Irons In The Fire (including Chains as rinsed by Liam in a disco mix a while back)
The Imperials - Who's Gonna Love Me (average modern soul bought on the strength of recognising the artwork and seeing Carlos Garnett & John Lee on the playing credits).

If I'd really tried to spend my money in the Music & Video exchange I could have bought an original UK copy of 'Hanged Man' soundtrack for under £30 (but couldn't be arsed), or I could have bought about 9 Rollerball OSTs and the entire David Sanborn catalogue 5 times over.

I'm going to NY at the end of July - I'm hoping the digging will be better there!
Cheers,
Tom

Easy Tom, been banging your Space Funk mix again and again recently - my mate said it sounded like 80s porn music mad.gif but i want more music like that so hope there'll be a follow up. Still would like to ID some more tracks from it.

Haven't been lucky enough to get my mitts on the Human Egg LP yet as it hasn't arrived as yet. Got Leon Ware's Rockin' You Eternally on a 7" written by Marcus Valle which turned up today... very chuffed with it on this format.

Have a good one in New York you lucky sod.

Yes King Rainy Frank!

No one else seems to like it but I love it - sounded great at 3am when the Unabombers dropped it at the end of Boatyard Boogaloo a few weeks back

Particularly prefer the dimitri from paris remix too
