I mean - no one likes to die but I've had a good innings - and it's not like it's going to hurt is it? Or will it?!?! I imagine when we get sucked into a black hole it would happen in a nano second wouldn't it? Can anyone clarify this please?

The CERN super collider isn't going to be the end of us - any black holes that are produced will be miniscule and will decay very quickly. The gravitational pull of these black holes will be nowhere near strong enough to destroy anything. Remember, there are (according to the laws of physics) incomprehensibly massive black holes out there in space, and they haven't sucked us in yet.

There are much more worrying ways the human race is finding to wipe us all out.
