Some very interesting comments from Arsene Wenger a few minutes ago on SKY NEWS: he said once Marlon King has 'done his time' he should be given a chance to restart his footballing career

Racism? Hardly. Lee Hughes get sentenced to six years and served over three.
He was involved in car crash in which someone died and he left the scene of the crash. As far as I know it was his first offence. He got a longer sentence, admitted his guilt, converted to Islam in prison and has voluntarily continued to do community work since being released, because of his feeling of guilt:
"In going some way to facing my responsibilities, I have met with a relative of the man who died, and what was said will always remain a private and personal matter. For different reasons I think we were both glad that the meeting occurred. I made dreadful mistakes and decisions that will live with me for the rest of my life. It also greatly affected my immediate family, including my wife and children, and I will never forgive myself for this."

Racism?
Nope. But there will be some people who will feel that if Lee Hughes has been another chance then so should Marlon.

oh, he will definitely be playing professionally again once he is released. no doubt about it. he will only be 31 or so. he can score goals. he will be very cheap wages. don't doubt he will be playing div 1 or 2 once released.

it was so much better when they just stuck to dogging.

I have to be honest; i can't say i really 'knew' him as a prolific goal scorer....

I think Neil Harris is another who's done time. Think he plays for Oldham now.
Marlon King will definitely get a club when he gets out.
Fair enough his comments about Gerrard though

yes and all his mates got sent down for it apart from gerrard.
i don't really care, stevie's missing this weekend and you're not in contention for the league/europe until you get a manager who knows what he's doing in the transfer market. a billionaire would help too.
