not that bothered about the LCD mix tbh, it's ok just not amaze for me,

Have you heard it in a club? seriously, needs to be heard on a proper system ...(fair play if it just ain't your cuppa). I'd say the same for Theo's 'Chemistry' cut..neither of them blow me away quite nearly as much listening at home..

Anyway nice mix Liam, really digging simbad's mash up of devils pie too.

I like the fact that there's a wee little story in your mix too wink.gif & I like the spontaneous feel it has throughout.

Its always tricky to up the bpm's through mixing house beats but I think overall you've made a good effort there

Both the Glenn underground tracks are phat, the one off the Silent lp is called 'blazed' btw wink.gif one of my favs from that album.

Oh & yes to the Norm Tally, both the remix you've selected & the Huckaby remix are top banana!

Like the cheeky little ending from Dez Carter too : )

he he - nice one for the glenn underground ID!

cheers for the feedback reel - i know you're a proper house head

Love this Liam. 3rd listen today while making curry.

Standout for me is the Motor City Drum Ensemble tune.

Trying to search for it but to no avail so far.

Great selection man.

Greetings from the sub-tropical outpost of the Nippon motherland! Liam from Space Bass asked me to knock up a little funk and boogie blend; and that’s what I’ve put together, well almost ! Mixed live and raw from original vinyl on my Bozak rotary without the benefits (?) of EQ and FX, this is a one-time mix, unplanned with all the joy and serendipity of spontaneous selection. So there’s the odd bump and flam along the way.

Much as my heart belongs to jazz, I grew up dancing to music like this, which is why it’s been my pleasure to have been doing the Inspiration Information sessions for the last dozen years or so. The tunes range from the electro tinged Afrobeat of African Connexion and King Sunny Ade, through Larry Levan’s dub of Smokey to straight up boogie classics from Fresh Band and Pleasure, and not forgetting the Italian connection from Firefly the mighty Change ( Paradise is one of many written and arranged by the awesome team of producer Mauro Malavasi and bassist Davide Romani, BB+Q’s Starlette being another). There’s proto-house from Serious Intention, a little Jamaican funk from Richard Ace, and a wonderfully warped mélange of slap bass and heavy claps to start things rolling with The Pied Piper of Funkingham, dropping the tempo at the end for a fairly obscure 12’ only release from Lesette Wilson. Hope you enjoy!

I am FEELING this mix, mightily so.

It's all proper, but from track 8 to the end it is exactly my kind of sound, with some big records from my bag in there too, respect the Forge.
