jump up! (vol.1)
After loving Beane's drum and bass mix - which everyone should check - it kicked me back into action and got me thinking about doing one myself. I've dropped some 4Hero mixes in the past but that was a while ago.
My history with the genre goes back to raves in odd warehouses dotted around London in the early nineties. I was introduced to the sound by my mate Marek (aka DJ Dylan) and his mate, Batfink

... And they'd take me along to these parties which blew my mind... great loved up crowds, loud (and very fast) music.... it appealed to me instantly.
I used to buy a bit of house and pop, but was soon down at Zoom Records, Blackmarket, Boogie Times etc... buying loads of stuff with the bit of pocket money / Sainsburys saturday work cash I had. I built a fair old collection and did the occasional party, but the records have laid dormant for a few years now
A collection of my favourite jungle / drum and bass records from the past. Rollers, jump up tracks and records that stand the test of time. Metalheadz, Hype, Lemon D. Enjoy
