love the mystery surrounding the podcast as it shows up in my itunes 'Medi#1 - unknown podcast - unknown artist'

No mystery - I'd bet that this is in fact a reference to:

medi I - mary lou williams

Gilles has played this one on previous Brownswood Basements.

Hozan Yamamoto "Ina Bushi" (LAWDY! Love love love this. Dark and Flutey - just the way 'we' like it. And another Brownswood Basement (sept 2001) classic/favourite).

lawdy indeed, dayo
how do you know this sort of thing?

do you have a list of all the tracks gilles has played on the brownswood basement shows or have you just got a fabulous memory?

If i was to give the mix a title, i'd call it: "The Peterson's Farewell To Winter Mix".

agreed dayo... it's def got that cold dark winter nights vibe... 'starless & bible black' especially... gets me every time that tune

listened to the podcast this morning whilst reading the papers in bed with a cup of coffee... loved it!

beautiful from start to finish... 100% modality

and have to say jose james stands up well next to miles, billy gault, mark murphy etc

big up gilles p... keep them podcasts coming
