Ket gave me a copy of the Freedom Rhythm & Sound book for my birthday last week... its absolutely brilliant! Pleasantly surprised that I had a good few of the albums but now seeking out the interesting looking ones that I haven't got (of which there are many) which may upset the bank manager over the coming few months!

Seem to remember he won this one with a £450 bid on the Mole Jazz auction. Nice profit margin if it was that one...

Thought GP mentioned that one of the reasons for selling was that the record in question ha been reissued. Dillard hasn't, AFAIK.

I think it was the Ricardo Marrero - A taste of....that Jazz man Gerald sold in the last 6 months and has now been re-issued.

I am amazed he had the time seeing as he started every music scene going, perfected the best tasting ice cream, serviced the entire fleet of RAF nimrods, organised every country fete up and down the country, looked after every pensioner in every care home in Southern Europe, put up scaffolding for every building site, visited the sick children of the world (and cured most of them with his super healing powers), whilst holding back the flood waters of the Northern Hemisphere, etc etc.

Totally untrue of course.

How on earth could Elms do any of those things when he considers so much of what's outside the London borders as inferior &/or not worth knowing about?!
