Nice one wrighty - never heard that version of scrabble before - and as for that Airto cut "Samba De Flora" - phew! Didn't realise Basement Jaxx had sampled this for "Samba magic" - always thought it was an original tune. Blinding mate. I need more Airto in my collection... any good recommendations brownswood?

"Due to some unfortunate digital typografic errors in the first run of the book we re-submitted a corrected version to Authorhouse. The corrected galleys will be signed off this weekend and the book should be back live on-line and on sale by the end of next week."
I'm still enjoying dipping into my "typo" edition.
Read the Chris Sullivan entry over the weekend - interesting to compare and contrast his interview against the Paul Murphy one...

hi all,
just thought I`d let yo know that Colin Curtis still DJ`s jazz and as a result of the book he has selected some tracks that are listed in the rear of the book and has made a classic jazz mix available from the new Fro-Disia blog (still getting used to wordpress so bear with me).
It`s a cool blend of vocal and instm tracks and gives a feel of what was being played at Rafters and The Berlin etc.

I missed that as well, can`t answer the question myself but I spoke to Colin today and he is aware of this thread and will probably tell you himself, failing that I`ll find out for ya.

Must have missed it.

Welcome TC
Be good to see Colin Curtis on here.
Just read his interview in the book - and his chart at the back contains many of the tracks that later became big with GP & Paul Murphy.

does anybody know if/when there'll be an error-less version available?
