Tonight: Went to see Le Planete Sauvage which is showing as part of Leeds International Film Festival. Need to get something to eat now, I've nowt in the house other than Cup a Soups, I'd go to a cafe or bar but they're all full of couples or groups of people and I'd feel like a sad, depressed loner (oh, right...) Could have gone to see Martin at Mook but I don't like the place and I can't talk to him anyway when he's DJing.

Update: I got an Aloo Palak from the new Mumtaz takeaway.

Might go see if Sainsbury's is still open and buy a disappointing sandwich.

Tomorrow: Daniel Johnston and Somebody Marlin at The Brudenell.

Sunday: Sit around drinking cheap Merlot by myself.

James - if it's any consolation - I have chosen to return home on my lonesome as I am too knackered to go and see Crazy P at Moog. I am enjoying the silence here. Was out playing records this afternoon and then went to Desi downtown with some mates and had the acest lamb shank curry ever..

Staying in on a Friday night feels like a luxury!

Their vegetarian selection needs improving and their vegan sandwich selection - it's not existent.

I've seen Woon live before and wasn't that bothered and I've heard that Distrikt has iffy decor.

I went to see Daniel Johnston and Laura Marling last night, there was a guy wearing clothes so scabby I wouldn't have even done the decorating in them blocking my view, the lining of one of his arse pockets was hanging out and because the material was so cheap (looked like white netting) it looked like inflated bubblegum. I kept making out that I was going to squeeze it (the pocket not his arse) Rob and I found this amusing, Martin didn't.

After the gig I got a pizza with chips on it, the chips were under the cheese if you were wondering.

Laura Marling has a really good voice but I didn't really care about what she was singing about, typical folky stuff about the changing of the seasons and the tides of the sea or something, can't remember any of her songs. Daniel Johnston is unique, he goes out of time but it works. Most of his tunes contain lines about being laughed at and being depressed. I don't remember much about the support band apart from I decided that the singer should be called Malcolm.
