Harold Melvin & Blue Notes “Lucky day”

Can't stop returning to this. Out of the hat. Must pull it out again.

And fabs, i had Blaze's “Watcha Gonna Do For Love” in the bag last friday - at Spacebass - which i was gonna play in your honour; but didn't get round to it. These things do happen in a 'set' haha. Next time, sir. BIG tune. Respect.

Big shout out to Madmangos; I've just finished listening. A killer killer 'alternative' mix. I love it when a selector thinks outside the box, if you know what i mean. I loved every single tune - including the journey. Dark soul at its best. My tune of the mix is/was Tubbs "I Feel". I have rewound it about 10 times already - Gorgeous tune. I need it. Love love Sandboy "Pomegranate" as well - Misty Odland-esque. Honoury mention as well to Karuan "Liquid Time Space" - Big music. Madmangos- RESPECT!!!

Yeh that Karuan "Liquid Time Space" is wicked isn't it.

Its been released recently I beleive

I think my fav on the mix is London Elektricity - Born to Synthesise.
When I first heard this I nearly wet me nickers. Then was so sad to hear it was only gonna be on the CD release. Then massive JOY to find it on a 12" Happy days. Wicked tune.

Had the same thing with The Lithium Project - Majik Kiosk was so excited when I found the 12". Really underated group. I love all their material.
Majik Kiosk is such an insane twisted tune.

Thanks Dayo

And many many thanks to Kerry and her Friend of letting me include this on your excellent Feel Up POD. biggrin.gif

The tracklist

*Yesterdays Electronic Soul*

Meitz - My Love
Siji - Heal

Beanfield - Kiss

Rumklang - Moonlight Walking

Lovely mix Kerry. Nightmares on Wax's "Les Nuits" sounds suspiciously like the next tune in the mix: Quincy Jones "Summer In The City" - which is probably why you place both tunes side by side. And i can never tire of Samuel Jonathan Johnson's "My Music" - a ravers tune. Millie Jackson's "Never Change Lovers In The Middle Of The Night" was a blast from the past (big in Lagos wink.gif haha). Norman Jay (who else???) 'introduced' me to Le Pamplemousse's "Do Ya Have Any (Ya Know Where I Can Get Some?)" many many years ago when he was on KISS FM; and it's remained a fave of mine ever since. Rinder & Lewis - the dons of cosmic disco - on the buttons. BIG TUNE.

Keep up Dayo - one of the biggest tunes of the nineties that one!

The track originally sampled Quincy Jones and was called "Nights interlude" (apprearing on the first album "Smokers Delight"). Then DJ Ease re-did the tune, re-did the strings himself for his Carboot Soul LP and the track became "Les Nuits", blew up massively and found itself on pretty much every chill out comp from 1999 onwards. Still a monumental record tho and still never tire of it

END OF GEEK LESSON BACK TO PODCAST

New one looks good kerry - on the download

lovely to see Quixote ft. Lisa Li Lund – Before I Started To Dance (Prins Thomas Diskomiks) on there. One of my biggest tunes from last year that. Massive!

I've lost count of the times I used to open my downtempo sets with these first 2 tracks on kerrys mix

To further freak people out I later added the re-edit 7" of Ms badus 'On and On' which used the instrumental of Quincy Jones track as the music
