Dam Funk (who I do like alot) was allowed to play loads of his tracks without anybody crying nepotism , the Basement Jaxx , however , dared to play some of their own stuff on Worldwide and were slaughtered for it.

shut up! nobody with any brains gives a fuck!

so you obviously do then by the fact that you responded .

Cheers Nobby.

just couldnt believe that anybody never commented on the fact that you had re-editied 'Voodoo Ray' which I'm sure alot of people see as 'sacred'

Yeah, but it's a pretty good edit if I say so meself wink.gif

Seriously though, I'm well aware of the tracks legendary status and wanted to mark the 20th anniversary of its appearance on the UK chart. So it's very much in tribute and all done with the full blessing of Gerald himself.

To be honest, I think that edits are generally more true to the original than the dreadful square peg in round hole type 'remixes' that have been banged out for years on end to squeeze more sales, this time out of people who couldn't care less about the original (and often use the absolute minimum amount of it, sullying its good name with inappropriate wholesale changes).

Cheers for making me feel old laugh.gif

Is the version of OMDs 'Messages' on Credit to the edit vol 2 the same as the version that appeared on the GW Ruff Edits #2 ?

Greg- I'm interested to know why you decided to re-edit "love is the drug" - in it's original form its pretty much unbeatable.

Hi Wee Gee: It's never about trying to 'beat' the original for me, but providing a valid alternative to it (initially to play out myself).

Just posted info on the vinyl release here:

Reason I edited 'Love Is The Drug' explained in there.

Ah right biggrin.gif

Any chance of you tackling Barry Blue's "dancing on a saturday night" for me? The bouzuki solo was never long enough for my liking...

That's cos you've got serious attention deficit disorder son. Any thread longer than half a page and you wanna call last orders and start a new one. Shout to the twitter crew

Right - I need help regarding the new Moton Inc release. 2 questions:

1. What is the track called "It's a beautiful world". Love it
2. Is this an easy / cheap record to find?

Linkage: http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/368565...m?no_redirect=1

Thanking you!

It's by the Greene Sisters nd is most likely to be on the Whatever's Fair album, and yes it is expensive

Dont sleep on the 'Now Is The Time' cut, pure brilliance
