didnt realise the flip was Kano though

Neither did I till yesterday - had to do some digging after Mr Tony Nwachukwu was asking about it on friday night down at the Vibe Bar. None of us had any idea who it was. Where's Mark A when you need him eh. biggrin.gif

We finally got to the bottom of that Moton Inc. release tho I posted up about. We've figured out 2 of the 3 tracks so far

1. Larry Hart - Going up in smoke
2. ?? - A messaage (<< played that on sundays show but have no idea what is was)
3. Cathy Davis - Come back home

Oh - and Nikey - YES to that Loud E "Drums Detour II" track. Not sure where you can play stuff like that but that one's been growing on me massively!

What were YOU doing in dat london then son ?

Sounded particularly nice at the weekend - the new 12" on Disco Deviance

On side is an edit of Kano's "Can’t Hold Back (Your Loving)" while the other is that odd old disco not disco track "Rip It Up" by Orange Juice. Both work really well I reckon.

They're both nice edits but Beane old son... the original 12 of Orange Juice is just so much better.

How did I know that was coming eh! laugh.gif

It's been re-edited like this for a reason tho hasn't it? I like the long drawn out version - ok it's lost some of the vocal parts but that's the point of a dub ain't it (I didn't like all the vocals anyway). It's not a remix or trying to better the original. Just offering a different take. Although the sax bit would of been nice to keep in at the end.

I was using the two together a week or so ago and put all the vocals back in, ended up being a very lengthy 'live' edit!

On another note mate, me and Foe might head up to Notts for a Soul Buggin' road trip this autumn.
